When you first open your application to browse the Internet, you will open from a particular page on the Internet. This first page is called your Homepage. As you might expect, Netscape will typically set your first page to their site. Not a bad place to begin, but over time, you may find yourself quickly shifting to the same place to begin your Internet session.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to 'start' from that page! Can you set your personal start page, or to select your homepage yourself? It turns out it isn't difficult at all. Depending on which application you use as an Internet browser, the process of selecting your personal homepage is easy.
Netscape
You need to find the exact Internet address (http://#####) you plan to use as your homepage address. This is a must.
Open your Netscape Communicator program. Select Edit from the Menu. Select Preferences. In the field for your homepage, enter the http you would like to use. Click OK. Simple!
Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is very similar. Open Internet Explorer. Select View from the Menu. In the field for your homepage, enter the http you would like to use. Click OK.
