Print Preview

The Print Preview is probably the best printing feature in Excel. You can get a "bird's eye-view" of your document in a flash. This is usually sufficient to tell you what, if any, adjusting you may need to do to make your document look right...and you save trees too!

The button for selecting Print Preview is located on the Toolbar.
If you hover your mouse over the button, you will see the tooltip for Print Preview.

When this button is selected, the screen will display your document from "40-50" feet away. You get an "overview" look at what the document will look like when printed.

You have several buttons in the Print Preview screen to let you make adjustments to the view.

Since the Next button is grayed out, there are no more pages. The Previous button would be used when you have moved into your document several pages and you wish to go back to an earlier page. The Zoom button would let you view the document in the "normal" mode. The Print button lets you begin actual printing if you are satisfied with the Preview. The Setup button will let you go immediately to the Page Setup Panels. The Margins button would let you adjust the margins from the Print Preview Panel. The Page Break Preview does just that...lets you check the page breaks in your document and make changes. The Close button will return you to the spreadsheet.

Remember to use the Print Preview to see what your document will look like rather than print a "test" copy.
