TROY Trumpet/Brass Symposium
          The Troy  University Trumpet Symposium is an annual event which is designed to promote trumpet performance on the high
school and college levels and to also bring world-class performers and teachers to the Wiregrass. Events at the Symposium include
clinician masterclasses, several High School Honors Ensembles and a mass concert finale. This year’s event is scheduled for FEBRUARY
21st, 2009. Please scroll down for entry form, Honors Ensemble itinerary and directions to Smith Hall. Updates will appear on this webpage as they become available.

The Honors Ensembles were formed in order to provide area students with more time with the Symposium clinicians in both rehearsal
and performance settings. The goal is to give these participants a better sense of the musical process in a like-instrument environment.
Selection of students is determined by recommendation from a band director or private teacher. All participants will receive medals.
Recommendation letters and applications are due in February; please consult this web-page for any additional details or updates.

Troy University Trumpet Symposium 2010
Due to financial and logistical considerations, he Brass Symposium has once again become the Troy University Trumpet Symposium and will be open only to trumpet players. We wish to thank all the other brass players that have attended our event and will hope to offer activities for all brass instruments at some point in the future. Please refer to this page for updates.

Directions
From 231 S from Montgomery:

Proceed into Troy. Turn Left onGeorge Wallace Boulevard (a Sonic will be on your left and the GIANT TSU sign will be catty-corner on
your left). Proceed through the traffic light. Turn Left on Collegedale. Go past Trojan Arena and Dill Hall. Smith Hall will be the next
large building on your right. Go past Smith, the parking lot is on your right.  Enter the back of Smith Hall and follow signs to the Choral
Room.

From 231 N from Dothan:

Proceed into Troy. Turn Right onGeorge Wallace Boulevard (a Movie Gallery on your left and the GIANT TSU sign will be on your right).
Proceed through the traffic light. Turn Left on Collegedale. Go past Trojan Arena and Dill Hall. Smith Hall will be the next large building
