ComputerWorks Printing Policy

Printers are available for students to print class assignments and other class-related materials, excluding research material and articles from web search engines, Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers. All research material should be printed in the Library.  Although students are given printing privileges, students are not given the privilege to print excessively or wastefully. Therefore, the ComputerWorks Staff monitors the printing of material and may stop excessive or wasteful print jobs.

Printing Guidelines:

(1)   Printers can not be used to print non-course related material such as:

  • personal email messages;

  • web advertisements,

  • web graphics/pictures,

  • multiple copies of handouts for class members, and

  • multiple copies of handouts and flyers for on- or off-campus organizations, clubs, etc.

(2)   All Journal, Magazine, and Newspaper articles should be printed in the TROY Library.

(3)    Students may print two copies of their essays and research papers.  If more than two copies are needed, please take the document to Quick Copy or Xerox copies using copiers in the Library.

(4)    Students who print excessively and wastefully may be asked to leave the lab.

(5)    Only Print the Items You Need.
