Where I Live—Chris King

 

I live about halfway between Troy and Elba.

The main drag through Troy is US 231.  Turn onto AL 87 south.  (Coming from Montgomery, you turn right.  A Burger King & Food World are at that intersection.)  Stay on 87 from Troy to Wilkinstown (13.1 mi), then turn onto county road 308.  I live 1˝ miles down that road.

 

Tip:  the road forks at Spring Hill.  Take the Elba fork (stay on AL 87 south), not the Enterprise fork.

Here’s a blowup of where you turn at Wilkinstown from Highway 87 onto county road 308.

First you come to Dwan’s Place; 0.4 miles further is the county line; 0.4 miles further is the Wilkinstown city limit; and 0.9 miles further is the 308 turnoff.
