Lab Procedures and Reports

Several free programs for drawing chemical structures are available on the internet.  All of these require the user to register.

Symyx Draw  The standard chemistry drawing software.

ChemSketch  Slightly better (and more complicated) than Symyx Draw

KnowItAll  A big file (60 Mb), it does the most, but requires internet access to Bio-Rad to continue to use.

Professional-looking graphs can be created in Microsoft Excel.  Clemson University has a web site with an extensive tutorial on using Excel, including a section on making graphs.

If clicking on a Word document does not open it, try saving it to disk, and then open it with Word.
