A little something about me:    In 1984, I graduated from Wallace College with an ADN.  My BSN and MSN degrees were earned at Troy State University in 1990 and 1994.  In 1996, I earned the Post-Master's Certificate from The University of Alabama, Huntsville, for FNP.   The 21 years of nursing experience includes being a staff nurse, charge nurse, Assistant Head Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Case Manager, part-time clinical instructor for LPN and RN students, and Family Nurse Practitioner.  I joined the faculty of Troy University School of Nursing on October 1, 2001, teaching in the RN to BSN Program and the FNP Program.  I am currently working on a PhD in Nursing at Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA. My research interest is African American Women and Cardiovascular Disease with a focus on diet, weight, and exercise.
