MINERALOGY RESEARCH PAGE

Welcome to the Mineralogy Research Page maintained by Henry Barwood (HOME) . This page is devoted to my personal research in mineralogy. I have tried to keep the pages simple so that loading them is not time-consuming. Here you will find research on some very varied subjects that involve mineralogy. I hope that you will find them both useful and, in some cases, entertaining. As this site continues to grow, I hope to add analytical data on mineral species that I'm investigating through the use of powder diffraction techniques. You may also want to visit my Son's homepage at: http://www.mineralcollecting.org/ for descriptions of collecting trips and personal mineral collecting information.

The National Friends of Mineralogy homepage is also a good place to visit for information on mineral collecting. The Southeastern Chapter of the Friends of Mineralogy contains items of local interest to collectors and is maintained by my son, Adam Barwood.

INDIANA MINERAL DESCRIPTIONS:

These are descriptions of Indiana Minerals designed for use by teachers. Project was short-lived since I left the Survey before only a few could be completed. I hope to start a similar series for Alabama before too long.
