| The purpose of this organization shall be to improve the quality of instruction in English language arts at all educational levels in Alabama; to facilitate professional cooperation of members; to provide programs which will be conducive to more effective instruction in English in the state; to encourage professional growth through research and publication without regard to distinctions to race, creed, or national origin. |
