We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for teaching Latin to high school (and possibly middle school) students at a demanding co-ed college preparatory school.  This individual would need a fundamental grasp of the structure of the Latin language and an ability to communicate it creatively in the classroom.  This is an opportunity for someone with a willingness to learn and a desire to continue to strengthen a relatively new program.  A background in the classics is preferable and the ability to teach another subject and/or to coach is helpful.  We offer competitive compensation and motivated students who love to learn.  The teacher may select the textbook(s).  The textbooks currently used are the Cambridge series in the middle school and Wheelock’s Latin in the high school.  The AP Vergil course uses Boyd’s text.  Experience is helpful but not necessary.  Certification is not required.
