| Description: |
Saint John’s Catholic Prep is a Catholic college preparatory day school for female and male students located 45 miles north of Washington, DC. Dedicated to the development and education of the total student, Saint John’s is a school of about 300 students in grades 9-12. Founded in 1829 by Father John McElroy (founder of Boston College), Saint John’s is looking forward to the future with great optimism as the school will be moving to a new campus in the Fall of 2009. With the promise of a new school, our student body is growing. To accommodate this growth, we are in the process of hiring more teachers. Currently, we are accepting resumes from educators who can add to our already exceptional programs. All candidates must be qualified in their area of educational expertise and must be ready to work with other strong colleagues toward common goals. We are in need of a Latin teacher for the 2008-2009 school year. The program currently uses the Cambridge Latin Course series for levels 1-3, with AP Latin (Catullus/Ovid) being taught in the fourth year. Book selection and AP subject can be changed by the incoming teacher. Outgoing teacher would be available by email to help with transition. Interested candidates should submit (preferably via email) a cover letter that includes educational philosophy and a resume to Mr. Christopher J. Cosentino, Principal at Saint John’s Catholic Prep. Email: ccosentino@saintjohnsprep.org. |
