According to the statistics, the top 3 majors at Troy University are Global Business, Nursing, and Computer Science. Obviously, we are growing into something that has great potential and we have great leaders who are here to help benefit you as well as our own members.
Our president, Sahil Hamal, takes care of organizing fundraisers for the club to have more activities, as well as giving us updates on job oppurtunities and much more. Our vice president, Aaron Martin, is in charge of the group computer science projects that we will be creating.
Projects are a very important in a computer science club because group projects can land a student an internship which leads to a job much quicker than without an internship. Some of the most sought after jobs in the computer science field are Software Engineering, Web Development, Applications Development, and there are many more.
If you are interested in these jobs, learning about our club, our projects, or just want to learn about computer science in general, send us an email and we will contact you right away!
Who does not like a nice break from studying and classes. Troy Computer Club offers entertaining events open to all students. Participate in movie and game nights including free refreshments and grand prizes. Come relax and enjoy the fun.
We will be hosting the first programming competition at Troy University. All students are eligible to compete for this competition. There will be two levels: beginners and advanced. We will have first, second, and third places and the winners will recieve a prize.
We offer tutoring for anyone that is a computer science major. You do not have to be a member to get help in any Computer Science classes. We would love to have you come and ask us any questions you may have! Also, we have facebook page, Troy C.S. Tutoring Square for tutoring where you can ask questions.
Coming in the Spring of 2016, we will be hosting the very first career fair for Computer Science and Math majors only. We hope to see many big companys join us as well as many eager students who are interested in job opportunities.
