The Alabama Association of Historians Mae Ellis Moore Flynt Teaching
Excellence Award recognizes an outstanding classroom teacher who has
contributed significantly to the teaching of history in schools in
Alabama. Nominees should have a minimum
of five years teaching experience in grades kindergarten through twelve in
Alabama public or private schools.
