BSN Clinical Nursing Sequence

** Students will receive 41 semester hours of credit after successful completion (grade of “C” or better) of all these courses.

*** NSG 6691 Research Methodology is recommended for students who plan to progress to the MSN sequence. However, the student who does not intend to pursue the MSN sequence or elects to delay NSG 6691 may substitute NSG 4419 Research Process in Nursing (2) to meet BSN graduation requirements.

All Nursing courses must be completed at Troy University. Substitutions will not be allowed.
 

Note: A minimum of 12 semester hours of general studies courses must be completed in the Troy University System to meet graduation requirements (May include 3 hrs of NSG 3315) . All other general studies courses may be complete at other colleges and universities. See Registrar for course equivalents.

BSN Clinical Nursing Sequence Progression Policy
Students are required to make a grade of C or better in each required nursing course.
Students may repeat only one nursing course listed in the BSN Clinical Nursing Sequence; thereafter, a D or F in any of these nursing courses will result in automatic dismissal from the program. This policy applies whether or not students have been accepted or admitted to the BSN Clinical Nursing Sequence. This policy does not apply to NSG 3315, Pathophysiology; or NSG 3340, Ethics in Nursing.
Students who drop or fail a theory or clinical course which has a co-requisite component must drop the co-requisite course.
Students must maintain current CPR certification, professional liability insurance, proof of annual physical exams and health insurance when enrolled in clinical nursing courses.
Students in the School of Nursing must comply with legal, moral, and legislative standards in accordance with the Alabama Board of Nursing Administrative Code.
